I thought I would reach out with some information on safe products for the year ahead. Take a look at what I’ve compiled below. 

1. Safe vehicles. Automobile wrecks can be unavoidable, and in those cases, you want your car to protect you. Lucky for us, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety does an annual top safety pick list covering all vehicle types. Keep an eye out for 2023’s picks soon, likely in February. 
2. Safe household cleaners. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice performance for safety. If you’re hunting for non-toxic cleaners that still get the job done, this detailed list breaks it down by category.
3. Safe home security systems. Home break-ins can be traumatizing and unfortunately aren’t 100% preventable. A home security system, however, can ward off burglars or call for help when needed. Check out this list from Forbes to see prices and ratings for top systems. 
4. Safe motorcycle helmets. Having a good helmet could be potentially life-saving in the case of a motorcycle accident, which is why one retailer put in the work to name its top ten safest motorcycle helmet brands. That said, it’s important for you to do your own research on such an important purchase, rather than trusting one recommendation. This article from the Motorcycle Legal Foundation offers some good advice on doing so. 
5. Safe travel accessories. For those who have read hotel horror stories and want a bit more security when they travel, Travel + Leisure put together this great list of personal alarms, locks, and more.
